Sveta Fedarava has a diverse work experience in the field of design and user experience (UX). Sveta is currently employed as the Head of Product Design and UX at EventMobi since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at York University starting in January 2021, where they taught courses on UX Research and Design.
Sveta also has experience as a Freelance Contractor, serving as Chief Design Officer and Head of Design for various organizations since April 2008. In this role, they focused on elevating design quality, strategic UX planning, coaching, and consulting.
From June 2020 to November 2023, Sveta worked as a Senior UX Manager at Maropost, leading a team of six designers and overseeing the design of multiple digital products. Sveta developed a strategic UX roadmap and refined processes to enhance collaboration between product, UX, and engineering teams.
Prior to Maropost, Sveta was a UX Designer at Intelex Technologies Inc. from September 2016 to April 2019, where they designed user-friendly interfaces and established design guidelines for an online collaboration platform. Sveta also worked as a Senior Designer at Intelex, managing the company's brand identity.
Sveta's earlier experiences include roles as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator at Visible Media Inc. in 2012, a Project Manager and Content Researcher at Blakeley Words+Pictures in 2011, and a Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant at Canadian Beverage Supply from 2009 to 2011.
Sveta also has experience as a Photography Instructor at the City of Toronto, Don Montgomery CRC from March 2008 to September 2009, and as a Visual Arts and Crafts Instructor at Artville Academy from August 2006 to September 2007.
Sveta Fedarava completed their Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from OCAD University between 2004 and 2008. Sveta furthered their education in 2016 by completing a Professional Education program in User Experience and Interaction Design from The Interaction Design Foundation. In the same year, they also pursued studies in Persuasive Psychology for Interactive Design from the Behavioral Design Academy, as well as Graphical User Interface Design from Akendi.
