Stacey Knoppel

Stacey Knoppel is currently the VP of Sales at Events DC. Stacey has over 20 years of experience in the events and hospitality industry, having held various sales and marketing positions at different conventions centers around the country.

Stacey started their career in 1999 as the Director of Sales and Marketing for ARAMARK at the Baltimore Convention Center. Stacey then moved to the Walter E Washington Convention Center in 2004 as the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Centerplate. In 2007, they became the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Baltimore Convention Center.

In 2012, Stacey left Baltimore to become the President of CSPI, a hospitality consulting firm. After three years, they returned to the events industry and joined Events DC in 2015. Stacey has been with Events DC ever since and was recently promoted to VP of Sales.

Stacey Knoppel's educational career consists of a BS in Arts from the University of Maryland, followed by studies at Towson University, Montgomery College, and Springbrook. Stacey is currently pursuing an Executive Leadership degree from Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration.

They are on a team with Nicole Greene - Director, Convention & Meetings, Marketing, Ash Rix - Director, Corporate Partnerships, and Jinhee Kim - Chief Creative Officer. Some individuals on their team include Joe Greene - Production Services Manager, Andrea Taylor - Senior Event Manager, and Jesse Devlin-Whitworth - Manager, Production Operations. Stacey Knoppel reports to Samuel R. Thomas, Jr., Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
