Vern Jones

Vern Jones has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. Vern has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as a Senior Systems Developer at Eventus since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at AT&T Cybersecurity as a Senior Software Engineer - Endpoint Agent Lead, where they developed the AlienVault Agent and contributed to threat detection and response capabilities. Before that, Vern was self-employed as a Senior Software Engineer, and they also worked at IBM as an Advisory Software Engineer, where they maintained core platform services and extended platform data source connectors. In September 2018, they completed the "Deep Learning, a 5-course specialization" by deeplearning.ai and the "Machine Learning" course by Stanford University, both on Coursera. Prior to their academic pursuits, Vern obtained the certification of Citizen Wildfire Ecology Specialist from the Texas Forestry Service in August 2010.
