Chris Tapay has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Chris began their career as a Freelance Developer/Webmaster, focusing on technical and graphical aspects of desktop applications. In 2005, they joined Nexolink inc. as a Senior Web Designer/Developer, leading design and development projects and providing art direction and design guides. From 2007 to 2014, they worked at E-dea Perú as a Senior Web Designer/Developer, implementing interactive catalogues and leading concept design and implementation of websites.

In 2014, Chris joined Belatrix Software, where they progressed from a Front-end Developer to a Project Leader and then to a Senior Software Engineer. Chris worked on a large AngularJS application, mentored development teams, and ensured high-quality code standards.

In 2018, Chris worked as a Full Stack Developer at BairesDev, where they owned an important part of a customer-facing booking web application and migrated features from a VBA application to an Angular + REST web application.

Currently, Chris works at EverCommerce as a UI Lead, leading a team and owning large parts of an external customer-facing web application. Chris develops and maintains a complete UI framework and focuses on front-end development.

Chris Tapay obtained a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in 2007. In 2014, they attended Code School. In 2011, they completed a Web Design & Development Professional program at Tree House. In 2005, Chris also earned an Oracle 9i Specialist certification from the National University of Engineering. Prior to that, they completed a Computer Science Specialist program at San Ignacio de Loyola Institute in 2002. Additionally, Chris has a Leadership Tools Workshop certification from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in 2002, and a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer/Professional (MCSD/MCP) certification from Cibertec Institute in 2001. They furthered their education in Computer Software Engineering at Pluralsight from 2015 to 2018. Chris has additional certifications in areas such as conflict management and Scrum.
