Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the banking and financial services sectors. Currently serving as the Interim Treasury and Operational Account Controller at Evercore since February 2025, Ian previously worked as a Finance Accounting Consultant at LHV Bank in late 2024, where assistance was provided with year-end financial statements. Ian held an interim position as Head of Finance at LHV Bank from June 2023 to April 2024 and served as the Interim Head of Financial Control at CLS Group from December 2021 to June 2023. Notably, Ian was the Head of Finance Division at MUFG from November 2006 to August 2021, overseeing financial operations for MUFG Bank (Europe) N.V., and also held director-level positions focusing on financial planning and regulatory reporting. Ian began a career at Citi as an Assistant Manager from July 2000 to November 2006. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Loughborough University and is a member of CIMA.
