Matt Newton

CEO at Everest Infrastructure Partners

Matt Newton has over two decades of experience in the private equity and infrastructure industries.

Matt began their career in 1996 as a partner at Columbia Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in mobile communications, the internet, and technology. Over the course of 14 years, Newton helped grow the firm's assets under management (AUM) from $80 million to $2.5 billion. Matt also led successful investments and served on the board of directors for numerous technology and communications companies.

In 2005, Newton joined TriStar Investors as vice chairman. TriStar focuses on cell tower infrastructure and was acquired by the largest cell tower owner in the United States in 2014.

Most recently, Newton has been serving as the CEO of Everest Infrastructure Partners since 2015. Under their leadership, Everest has become one of the largest privately-held independent tower companies in North America.

Matt Newton received a BS in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.
