Software Engineer at Evergen

Carolyn Hicks has a long history of software engineering experience. In 2000, they began their career as a Senior Software Developer at Everyone Counts, Inc., where they contributed to the design, development, and support of the company's core product of web-based voting and election services software. From 2005-2018, Everyone Counts provided accessible online voting in public and private sector elections, including the Academy Awards and Emmy Awards. In 2018, they moved to Votem Corp. as a Software Developer. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Software Developer at the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU). In 2022, they joined Evergen as a Software Engineer, where they work to provide a software platform that enables the digital optimisation of energy supply chains, maximising the benefits of adopting renewable technologies.

Carolyn Hicks completed their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies at Massey University from 1992 to 1994. Carolyn then completed a Graduate Diploma in Environment and Planning at RMIT University from 2009 to 2012. Most recently, they have been pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science at the University of Melbourne since 2019.
