J Richard Smith

J Richard Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in administrative support, theater direction, and scenographic design. As of January 2024, J Richard serves as the Executive Assistant to the President at Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington. Previously, J Richard held significant roles such as Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff at Cornish College of the Arts, where responsibilities included strategic counsel and project management. Other notable positions include Producing Artistic Director at Second Youth Family Theatre and extensive freelance work as a stage director and scenographic designer across the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. J Richard holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Professional Certificate in Non-Profit Studies.
