Lisa Hoeckel is an accomplished operations and inventory manager with extensive experience in various sectors. Currently serving as Operations Manager for the City of Mercer Island since March 2022, Hoeckel previously held the position of Production Manager at Seattle Goodwill Industries, where responsibilities included managing day-to-day operations and maximizing retail profits from donations. In addition, Hoeckel has significant experience as Inventory Manager at Blue Origin, LLC, where an inventory system was developed to enhance user accessibility. Previous roles include Operations Manager at Finding Treasures, and Manager of Material Control at Aerojet, where oversight of procurement compliance and hazardous materials was a focus. Goodwill is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help low-income and disadvantaged people in our community prepare for and secure jobs so they may achieve self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. The people we help face poverty, lack of education and job skills, and limited English proficiency, all of which have kept them from finding or keeping employment. Our comprehensive, free job training and education programs give our students the skills and training to find and keep a job. Donors and shoppers are critical to our mission. Donations of reusable items from the community are sold in our stores, and the net proceeds, along with financial donations from foundations, corporations and individuals, make it possible for us to operate these programs at no cost to those in need in the communities we serve.
