Angelina Moore Maia

Director Of Clinical Education at Evergreen Nephrology

Angelina Moore Maia has extensive work experience in the field of nutrition and healthcare. Angelina started their career as a Clinical Dietitian at Maine General Medical Ctr in 2001, where they worked for two years. Angelina then joined Tufts Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian and worked there for two years as well.

In 2005, Angelina joined Cambridge Health Alliance as an Outpatient Dietitian and stayed with the company until 2010. During this time, they also worked as a School Nutritionist at Simmons College from 2008 to 2010.

In 2010, Angelina became a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Maine and completed their studies in 2015. Following that, they worked as a Program Director at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2019.

In 2019, Angelina joined the University of New England as the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs in Applied Nutrition and also served as the Director of RDN Focus. Angelina held this position until February 2022.

Currently, Angelina is the Director of Clinical Education at Evergreen Nephrology, starting in February 2022.

Angelina Moore Maia obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nutritional Science from the University of New Hampshire in the years 1994 to 1999. Angelina then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Maine from 1999 to 2001. Angelina furthered their education at the University of Maine, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences from 2010 to 2015.
