Gary Alstott has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries, including manufacturing, packaging, automotive components, and recycling. Starting from their early career in manufacturing as a Manufacturing Engineer at Dalton Foundries, they later moved to Golden Casting Corporation as an Operations Manager. Gary then transitioned into the automotive industry, working at Meritor in various roles such as Global Commodity Manager, Director of Purchasing Commercial Vehicle, and Senior Director of Purchasing Commercial Vehicle.
Alstott continued to gain experience in the automotive sector, assuming the position of Vice President of Component Operations and Procurement at AxleTech International before joining Schaeffler KG as the Vice President of Purchasing for North America. Gary played a crucial role in the potential consolidation of the Schaeffler-Continental purchasing group.
Moving on to Signode Industrial Group LLC, Alstott served as the Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Corporate Development, and subsequently as the Executive Vice President of Operations and Purchasing. Gary later became the Group President of Protective Packaging and the Executive Vice President of Global Purchasing at Crown Holdings, following Signode's acquisition by Crown Holdings.
Alstott's career then led him to Novolex, where they served as the Senior Vice President of Heritage Bag and Hilex Operations and Chief Procurement Officer. Afterward, they worked at Mauser as the President of BWAY Corporation, a Mauser Packaging Solutions affiliated company.
Currently, Alstott holds the position of CEO at Evergreen, a plastics recycling and manufacturing company owned by The Sterling Group. Evergreen is known for its production of food-grade recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET).
Gary Alstott attended Purdue University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. Gary then pursued further education at the University of Indianapolis from 1997 to 1998, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Finally, they studied at the University of Detroit Mercy from 2002 to 2006, obtaining a Juris Doctor Law degree.
