Evergreen School
Kimberly Sandridge has a diverse work experience spanning over different fields. Kimberly started their career as a Graphics Consultant at DecisionQuest in 2000, where they created visual presentations for trials and assisted in creating demonstrative exhibits. Kimberly later became a Senior Consultant at the same company, managing the graphics practice and working with trial teams on complex civil and criminal cases until 2014.
In 2003, Sandridge worked as a Graduate Intern at the Ackland Art Museum, gaining experience in various museum operations and teaching university classes. Kimberly then joined the North Carolina Museum of Art as a Graduate Fellow in the Education Department, where they wrote curricula and lectured on art history.
Sandridge founded their own company, sibylLINE Visual Consulting, LLC, in 2014. As President and Founder, they advised lawyers and expert witnesses on creating demonstrative exhibits for complex cases and gave speaking engagements on the topic.
Kimberly Sandridge also worked at Barrie School as a Montessori Primary Intern and at Evergreen School in multiple roles, including Assistant Head of School for Academics and Programs, Director of Early Childhood Education, and Primary Lead Teacher, Primary Team Leader.
Kimberly Sandridge obtained their High School diploma from Durham Academy in the years 1992 to 1996. Kimberly then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Psychology from Wellesley College, spanning from 1996 to 2000. After that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Art History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2002 to 2004. Most recently, from 2017 to 2018, they completed the American Montessori Society Early Childhood Credential at the Institute for Advanced Montessori Studies, specializing in Montessori Teacher Education.
Evergreen School
Evergreen School is an independent, co-educational Montessori school for children ages 2 to third grade. Evergreen's mission is to prepare our students to be independent thinkers, lifetime learners, and responsible citizens in an ever-changing world. Founded in 1964 as The Montessori Children's House in the District of Columbia, Evergreen is dedicated to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, which recognizes a child's need to learn basic academic skills, observe the environment, do independent work, and cooperate in a community. Now located in Maryland, Evergreen School conveniently serves the greater Kensington/ Wheaton/ Silver Spring area as well as the surrounding suburbs and D.C. Evergreen provides a safe, diverse, family-centered environment where differences are respected and all cultures honored. A strong academic program, which begins with the youngest children, is balanced by visual and performing arts.
