Byron Thompson

Byron Thompson serves as President of Third Wave Business Systems. He was previously a private equity investor focused on partnering with a growth stage healthcare services and technology business. Prior to that, Byron worked in investment banking where he advised clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.

Byron earned a Bachelor’s degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia where he was a Holland and Echols scholar. He also completed his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he was a Teaching Assistant and case author for the course Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.

Byron enjoys exploring new restaurants with his wife, training their rescue dog Olaf, watching cooking shows, and finding time to golf.
