Mark Freeborn

Dr. Freeborn joined our medical staff in 2009, and in 2015 became an employed specialty care physician – a full-time orthopedic spine surgeon with EvergreenHealth Spine, Back & Neck Care. Since that time, he also has served as Executive Medical Director of Surgical Subspecialties and, most recently, as EvergreenHealth Chief Surgeon.

As Chief Medical Officer, EHMG, Dr. Freeborn is now responsible for the operations, patient experience, staff/provider engagement, stewardship, clinical quality and overall strategic growth of the medical group.

Dr. Freeborn has described himself as a facilitator and interpreter, speaking the language of surgeons and representing our organization’s safety, quality and service principles as well as value-based business interests. He is a consensus builder with a commitment to ensuring that EvergreenHealth as a system remains strong and is successfully meeting the need for care in our community.
