Jewell Walton

Jewell Walton is a seasoned professional in the fields of housing and urban planning, currently serving as the Vice President of Public Partnerships at Evergreen Real Estate Group since June 2023. With extensive experience in multifamily housing programs, Walton has played a pivotal role in business development and public sector engagement, particularly as a national policy expert on the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. Prior to this, Walton held significant positions at the Chicago Housing Authority, including Deputy Chief of RAD Programming and Senior Director, overseeing one of the largest RAD implementations in the nation. Walton's earlier career includes a tenure as Project Manager at S.B. Friedman & Company, contributing to the approval of over 500 affordable housing units in Illinois, along with experience in business analysis and project management from positions at NIPC and Hewitt Associates. Walton holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University.
