Ricardo (Ricky) joined Evergreen in 2017. As Project Manager for the Acquisitions and Preservation team, Ricky manages the structuring and strategy of transactions from contract signing to closing through the end of construction. To date, Ricardo has closed on purchasing six affordable multifamily and elderly properties, incorporating a mix of financing structures such as 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, tax-exempt bonds, and HUD-insured loans. In addition, Ricardo has continued to aid in pursuing prospective assets to purchase and negotiates and secures purchase contracts for acquisitions. Ricardo joined Evergreen Real Estate Group in November 2017. Before joining Evergreen, Ricky gained internship experience at financial institutions such as CME Group and J.P. Morgan and as an in-house consultant for McMaster-Carr, a national industrial supplies distributor. Ricky started as an Analyst at Evergreen, evaluating prospective deals and providing investment recommendations to partners. As his financial modeling skills and expertise deepened, he was promoted to an Associate role that incorporated the financial modeling responsibilities of the Analyst role while beginning to gain greater exposure to project management and the world of affordable housing. Ricky is a first-generation college graduate who attended Harvard University and graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Economics degree and a secondary degree in Government. While at Harvard, Ricky participated in the Harvard Financial Analysts Club and was a captain of the Harvard Boxing Club. He helped organize various events for his clubs, competed in, and won two amateur boxing matches. Ricky is also fluent in Spanish.
