Jim McBee

Jim McBee is an experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Substation & Transmission Engineering at Evergy since July 2018. Prior to this role, Jim held various engineering and management positions at Kansas City Power & Light from 2008 to 2018, where responsibilities included directing engineering, construction, maintenance, and operation activities for high voltage transmission systems and substation facilities. Jim has also served on the Board of Directors for Missouri One Call Systems Inc. and held positions at Aquila, Inc. from 1990 to 2008. Jim's academic background includes a degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earned between 1985 and 1990.
