Steve Smith

Steve Smith has over 39 years of experience in the field of taxation, particularly in property and transaction taxes. Currently serving as the Manager of Property and Transaction Taxes at Evergy since September 2006, Steve has also held a similar managerial role at Aquila from 2000 to 2006. Earlier in his career, Steve worked as a Tax Accountant at Sprint from 1986 to 2000. Steve completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting at the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business from 1978 to 1983. Steve is set to retire in May 2025.
