Tom Mitchell is an experienced project and program manager with extensive expertise in NERC CIP standards and implementation. Currently serving as the NERC CIP Project Controls Manager at Evergy since January 2018, Tom focuses on the implementation of new NERC CIP Standards while ensuring compliance with existing ones. Prior to this role, Tom worked at KCP&L, where responsibilities included managing the transition from NERC CIP v3 to v5 and overseeing the SPP integrated marketplace project. Tom's career began at Aquila, where a variety of large corporate projects were managed, including M&A, business divestitures, and IT initiatives. Tom holds an Executive MBA from Rockhurst University and a BSBA in Computer Information Systems from the University of Central Missouri.
