Mark Russo has a strong background in meteorology and weather analysis. Mark started their career in 1998 as a Meteorologist at Dames and Moore before moving to Salomon Smith Barney in the same role. In 2003, they joined Chesapeake Energy, where they worked as a Meteorologist and played a key role in forecasting and risk management for severe and adverse weather conditions. Mark also provided weather consulting services to commodity hedgers, traders, and analysts. In 2013, they joined EarthRisk Technologies as a Senior Weather Analyst. Mark then joined Riskpulse in 2015, initially as the Chief Science Officer and later as the Senior Vice President of Weather Operations. Mark is currently serving as the Chief Science Officer at Everstream Analytics. Overall, they have a successful career in weather analysis and risk management, with experience in various industry sectors.
Mark Russo completed their undergraduate education in Meteorology at Northern Illinois University from 1996 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Oklahoma from 1994 to 1996, also studying Meteorology.
In addition to their formal education, Mark Russo obtained a certification in "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in October 2020.
