Thomas Owton

Thomas Owton is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in data analysis, research, and practical experience in sports. Currently serving as a Sports Assistant Lifeguard at Everyone Active - SLM since January 2023, Thomas has previously worked as a Methods, Data and Research Analyst at the Office for National Statistics, where significant improvements to the “Faster Indicators” for the Trade in Services division were achieved. A PhD student at the University of Bristol, Thomas focused on advanced quantitative methods with a thesis that utilized deep learning to assess urban flood risk. Additional roles include a Data Science Intern at Geollect Limited, teaching responsibilities at the University of Bristol, and various positions at Owtons Butchers, contributing to both administrative and operational efficiencies.
