William Taylor

William Taylor is an experienced attorney currently serving as the Deputy Director for Second Amendment Litigation at Everytown for Gun Safety since March 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing legal strategies related to gun safety legislation. Previously, William held the position of Senior Counsel at the Office of the New York State Attorney General from May 2012 to March 2018, after serving as an Assistant Attorney General. Prior legal experience includes a role as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP for over a decade, focusing on a broad general litigation practice at both trial and appellate levels. Early in William's career, a law clerk position was held at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, assisting Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw. William obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies and History from Duke University. Education was completed at Canisius High School.
