Jonghyun Kim

Jonghyun Kim has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Jonghyun started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Delaware, where they worked on projects related to network communication and mobile ad hoc networks. After completing their role as a Research Assistant, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same university, focusing on jamming-aware routing and MAC protocols as well as efficient network flooding performance modeling.

In 2012, Jonghyun joined Cloudamize as a Research and Development Engineer. Jonghyun played a key role in developing the network application interconnectivity system, which visualized the interconnection of network applications for companies migrating to cloud service providers. Later, they were promoted to the position of Senior Research Scientist, where they continued to lead analytics development for the interconnectivity system.

Cloudamize was acquired by Blackstone and Cloudreach, and Jonghyun transitioned to Cloudreach as a Senior Software Engineer. Jonghyun was responsible for analytics of network application inter-connectivity and data collection, as well as working on other software products within the Cloudamize business unit. Jonghyun then took on the role of Principal Software Engineer, where they led analytics and data collection R&D, focusing on performance metrics and workload-based mapping.

Jonghyun's journey continued when Cloudreach was acquired by Atos. Jonghyun remained with the company and worked as a Principal Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included research and development on Cloudamize software products.

Most recently, Jonghyun joined Eviden as a Principal Software Engineer. Their work at Eviden involves software engineering and contributing to the research and development efforts of the company.

Throughout their work experience, Jonghyun Kim has showcased their expertise in software engineering, research and development, network communication, and cloud analytics.

Jonghyun Kim obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware, where they studied from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the same university from 2003 to 2005. Jonghyun earned two Bachelor's degrees, one in Computer Science and the other in Electrical Engineering, from Gangneung-Wonju National University, where they studied from 1996 to 2002. In addition to their academic achievements, they have also obtained certifications in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate from Microsoft in 2021.
