Nicolas Winckler possesses extensive experience in nuclear and atomic physics, along with expertise in computer vision and AI. At the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, Nicolas conducted experimental and phenomenological research from August 2009 to December 2012. Subsequently, at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research between November 2013 and September 2016, Nicolas engaged in atomic physics research and served as Project Coordination Manager for the CRYRING@ESR synchrotron control system. Earlier, while pursuing a PhD at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH from June 2005 to July 2009, Nicolas focused on orbital electron capture of highly-ionized ions. In the field of applied science and computer engineering, Nicolas has held positions at Eviden and Bull since May 2021 and from June 2018 to May 2021, respectively, specializing in AI and cybersecurity. Nicolas completed master's degrees in Physics from both Université Joseph Fourier and Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, and a PhD in Physics from Justus Liebig University Giessen.
