Mark Freese

Mark Freese has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Mark currently holds the position of CFO & Co-MD at EVO Payments International GmbH since November 2018. Prior to that, they served as CFO & Co-MD (Interim) at Concardis Payments Group from October 2017 to October 2018.

Before joining Concardis Payments Group, Mark worked at First Data Corporation for several roles. Mark served as CFO EMEA from April 2014 to September 2017, General Manager at Telecash GmbH & Co KG from July 2011 to March 2014, and CFO for DACH, Benelux, Italy from October 2009 to June 2011.

Additionally, Mark has experience as an Independent Business Consultant at Alix Partners from June 2007 to September 2009. Mark also worked at Newell Rubbermaid in various finance positions, including VP Finance Home Decor Division EMEA from October 2004 to May 2007, Director Finance and Business Integration Rubbermaid Irwin Group EMEIA and APAC from July 2003 to September 2004, and Director Corporate Accounting and Tax EMEIA from April 2000 to June 2003.

Mark began their career at Arthur Andersen, where they worked from 1993 to 2000. Mark held the position of Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen GmbH from October 1993 to March 2000, and Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP from June 1988 to October 1993.

Mark Freese has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Law from Universität des Saarlandes, which they obtained from 1980 to 1984. Mark then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from Kiel University, from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the AICPA after completing their studies at DePaul Driehaus College of Business from 1991 to 1993.
