Silvia Shaked

Silvia Shaked has extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles. Silvia started their career as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1999. In 2003, they joined the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they worked until 2007. Silvia then worked as a Research Associate at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2007 to 2010.

Silvia joined Evogene in 2011 and held several positions within the company. Silvia started as a Molecular Lab Team Leader from September 2011 to October 2013. Silvia then became the Head of Tissue Culture Unit from October 2013 to September 2016. From September 2016 to December 2019, Silvia served as the Head of Growth Chamber Assays. Silvia was then promoted to Director of Experimental Technologies in December 2019 and eventually became the VP of Experimental Technologies in February 2022, a role they currently hold.

Silvia Shaked earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology from Comenius University in Slovakia. Silvia attended the university from 1996 to 2002.
