Val Chiykowski, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the field of materials chemistry with a robust background in innovation and ecosystem development. Currently serving as an Associate at Evok Innovations since March 2022, Val previously held the position of Lead, Ecosystems and Investments at Sustainable Development Technology Canada from October 2021 to February 2022. Val's experience at the Creative Destruction Lab included roles as Associate Director and Senior Venture Manager & Stream Lead, focusing on strategy, mentorship, and navigating accelerator programs for ventures with advanced material innovations. Val's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Queen's University.
