Michael Li has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Michael has held various roles in different companies, starting in 2011 as a research assistant at Marquette University. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a firmware engineer at Rockwell Automation and as a software engineer at Caterpillar Inc. In 2016, Michael joined GE Transportation as an electrical engineer, where they were responsible for designing and programming electrical drive and motor control software. Michael then moved to BYD America Corp in 2017, where they worked on product development and R&D for electric trucks. In the same year, they also worked as an electrical engineer at Sunpin Solar. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an electrical control engineer at Phoenix Motorcars. In 2019, they joined INDI EV as a lead powertrain system engineer, focusing on vehicle EE architecture design and VCU programming. Prior to their current role, Michael worked at Evolectric as a lead vehicle system control engineer and advisor. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at BP REPT, LLC.
Michael Li earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Michael then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Motor drives and motor control at Marquette University from 2011 to 2013.
