Maximilian Battefeld began their work experience in 2016 as an Undergraduate Researcher at E.ON Energy Research Center. In 2017, they worked as an Intern at ASG Luftfahrttechnik und Sensorik GmbH and as a Thesis Student at the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) Aachen. Maximilian then joined Protean Electric in 2018 as a Graduate Electronics Engineer and later as an Electronics Engineer in 2019. In 2020, they worked at ARRIVAL as an Electronics Design Engineer until 2023. Currently, they are employed at Evolito Ltd as a Power Electronics Engineer.

Maximilian Battefeld began their education journey in 2011 at Martin-Niemöller-School, where they completed their Abitur qualification in an unspecified field of study in 2014. Maximilian then enrolled at RWTH Aachen University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Engineering with a focus on Electrical Energy Technology, which they successfully completed in 2017.

Afterwards, Maximilian continued their academic career at Imperial College London, where they studied from 2017 to 2018. Maximilian earned a Master of Science degree in Future Power Networks during this period. Following their time at Imperial College, they pursued further education at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama from 2019 to 2020, where they undertook a Graduate Certificate program in Vocal performance.

In addition to their formal education, Maximilian Battefeld also obtained two certifications in the field of machine learning. In 2020, they completed the course "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" offered by deeplearning.ai on Coursera. Maximilian also attained a certification for the "Machine Learning" course offered by Stanford University on Coursera, which they achieved in July 2020.
