Maria Shkarlat, MBA

Maria Shkarlat, MBA, has an extensive and diverse work experience in finance and leadership roles. Maria started their career as a Business Development Consultant at TASK Investment Group in 2006. Maria then moved on to serve as the Head of the International Relationships Committee at The Ukrainian Internet Association (UIA) from 2010 to 2011.

From 2011 to 2015, Maria worked as the Head of US Operations at Internet Invest. Following this, they joined TASK Investment Group again in 2012 as the Head of US Operations, a position they held until 2017.

In 2015, Maria founded their own company, FinOps.Company, where they served as the Founder and CEO and provided complex interim CFO services to AI, SaaS, IT, and marketplace businesses. Maria worked with over 50 clients, delivering overall leadership in financial matters and partnering with executives and founders to define strategic initiatives.

Maria then took on the role of Vice President Finance at Food Rocket in 2022, leading all aspects of financial stewardship and being a critical partner to the CEO, Founders, and the Board. Maria was part of the team that led the company to growth and the next round of investments.

In the same year, Maria also joined Nova Ukraine as the Head of Finance and Acting CFO. Here, they established strong financial and accounting control for donations and annual transactions.

Most recently, in 2023, Maria served as a Fractional Chief Financial Officer at Evolve Squads, providing complex CFO services and partnering with founders to understand and define strategic initiatives.

Prior to their current roles, Maria worked as an Acting Chief Financial Officer at both Reply.io and Let's Enhance, where they provided complex CFO services and delivered overall leadership in financial matters.

Throughout their career, Maria has demonstrated their ability to provide strategic financial guidance, drive business growth, and establish strong financial control.

Maria Shkarlat, MBA has a diverse education history. In 1992, they obtained their Master of Law degree in Finance and Administrative Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Following that, in 1999, they became an Attorney after obtaining certification from the Kyiv Bar Council. In 2005, Maria enrolled at Steinbeis Hochschule and completed a Global MBA program, focusing on IT companies and global markets. Recently, in 2019, they earned a CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online. Additionally, Maria holds a certification as a Tax Preparer in the state of California, obtained from the California Tax Education Council (CTEC).
