Carlton Willey

Carlton "CJ" Willey serves as the Sr. Director and Corporate Counsel for Evolve, a startup focused on transforming vacation rental management, since May 2021. Additionally, Carlton has contributed as a Volunteer Mentor for Energize Colorado since May 2020 and holds a board member position at Inside the Orchestra until January 2024, supporting music education for underserved communities in the Denver metro area. Previously, Carlton was the General Counsel and Sr. Director of Business Development at Havenly from April 2018 to June 2020 and worked as an attorney at Harris Bricken from 2016 to 2018 after serving as a partner at Willey & Bentaleb LLP from 2013 to 2017. Further legal experience includes a corporate associate role at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP from 2010 to 2012 and in-house counsel at SK, focusing on operations in China from 2009 to 2010. Carlton is also the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the Tsinghua China Law Review and served as President of the Inter-Professional Council at Ohio State University. Educational credentials include a JD from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and an LLM in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University.
