Cornelis van Den Muyzenberg

Cornelis Van Den Muyzenberg is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategy and business development within the materials and food ingredients sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy Division Smart Materials and Vice President of Business Support and Strategic Projects at Evonik since January 2017, Cornelis leads a team responsible for M&A, sustainability, digitalization, and internal communications. Previous roles include Vice President of Food Ingredients and Strategic Projects at Colorcon, along with leadership positions in corporate development, sales, and general management across Asia Pacific and North America. Earlier career experiences include roles in PURAC and Shell Chemicals, focused on technical and product management. Cornelis holds a degree in Venture Capital, Investment, Acquisition, and Finance from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and has a strong academic background in sciences from the University of Groningen and Eindhoven University of Technology.
