Gerry Guan is an experienced Head of Technology with a strong background in the chemicals industry, specializing in process safety, technology deployment, and digitalization. They have held the position of Head of Process Safety, Technology & Application Development at Evonik since 2020 and have been with the company since 2009, previously serving as Head of Process Technology for the Asia Pacific North region. Prior to their tenure at Evonik, Gerry worked as a Plant Production Manager at Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Corporation from 2002 to 2009. Gerry holds a Master’s degree in Macro Material Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, earned in 2010.
