Markus Hartung

Markus Hartung has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Markus started their career as a Laboratory Assistant at Evonik Degussa in 1999. Markus then worked as a Project Engineer at Outokumpu in 2004, focusing on implementing safety measures at an aluminum plant in Australia. In 2006, they joined NUKEM Technologies GmbH as a Process Engineer, responsible for various aspects of process engineering.

In 2008, Markus had the opportunity to work at Siemens Industry Software GmbH & Co.KG as a Sales Engineer, followed by a position at NUKEM Technologies GmbH as a Global Sales Manager, where they managed sales in Western Europe and Asia. Markus then moved to Heraeus in 2011, first as Vice President Global Sales, Marketing, and Application Technology, and later as Vice President Global Key Account Management.

Most recently, Markus Hartung worked at Evonik Operations GmbH, starting in 2015. During their time there, they held various roles, including Director - Head of Sales EMEA and Vice President - Head of Global Commercial Processes & Region EMEA Catalysts. Their responsibilities included leading teams, managing sales, and overseeing commercial processes on a global scale.

Markus Hartung pursued an Executive Master of Business Marketing from Freie Universität Berlin from 2009 to 2010. Prior to this, they completed their studies in Process Engineering, earning a Diplom Ingenieur degree from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences between 2000 and 2006.
