Julia Owens

Julia Owens serves as a Board Member and Advisor at EVOQ Therapeutics and GV, respectively, and holds the position of President & CEO at Ananke Therapeutics since April 2022. Owens is also a Leadership Council Member for the Life Sciences Institute at the University of Michigan and a Board Member of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization. Additionally, Owens is an Investment Advisory Board Member at the Michigan Biomedical Venture Fund. Previous roles include Board Member at Metacrine, Inc., Executive Chairman and CEO at MILLENDO THERAPEUTICS, and Senior Vice President at Lycera. Owens began a career in the pharmaceutical industry in 2004 with QuatRx Pharmaceuticals as Head of Business Development. Owens holds a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Francisco.
