Veronica Macaluso

Veronica Macaluso is a computational chemist and bioinformatician with a PhD in theoretical mass spectrometry. They spent three years at the University Paris-Saclay developing Theoretical Mass Spectrometry, contributing to eight peer-reviewed manuscripts. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pisa, they characterized photo-responsive proteins using advanced molecular dynamics techniques. Later, at IRB Barcelona, they investigated a rare deletion in an antiporter membrane protein, contributing valuable insights into precision medicine. Veronica continues to explore innovative approaches in proteomics and data science while enjoying coding as a fundamental aspect of their work.
