Gerald Wolmarans

Gerald Wolmarans is an accomplished Internal Audit professional with extensive experience in risk management and compliance. Currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit and Insurance Risk Management at EVRAZ North America since May 2014, Gerald leads the Internal Audit and Risk Management portfolios, ensuring effective governance and a robust internal control environment. Prior to this role, Gerald held various positions including Manager of Internal Audit at Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium and Senior Internal Auditor at KPMG. Additionally, Gerald contributed to the Institute of Internal Auditors as Treasurer and Public Sector Representative. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance (MPhil) with a focus on Internal Audit, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Financial Management.
