Jasper Spanjers has a diverse work experience in the field of embedded software and firmware engineering. Jasper started their career in 2000 as a Software Engineer at Ordina Technical Automation, where they worked on developing patches, sub-systems, and new functionality for Lucent and Philips. In 2003, they joined Adimec as a Design Engineer, responsible for designing VHDL, firmware, and hardware blocks for advanced digital cameras. Jasper later became a Project Responsible Engineer at Adimec.

In 2008, Spanjers joined Vitelec B.V. as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, focusing on developing firmware for small, low-power RF devices. Jasper'srole included creating product specifications, communicating with customers, creating documentation, and introducing new concepts.

In 2010, Spanjers joined Omron Europe B.V. as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, specializing in industrial networking for the Industrial Automation division. Jasper'sresponsibilities included creating and maintaining software architectures, developing embedded software in various languages, acting as a security specialist, and teaching software quality and development procedures.

In 2017, Spanjers joined Axon Digital Design BV as a Sr. Hybrid Design Engineer, responsible for developing advanced FPGA-based products for the video broadcasting industry. Jasper later took on roles as a Firmware Architect, Firmware Architect & Scrum Master, and FPGA & System Architect & Scrum Master, leading and guiding project teams, working with system test, firmware, and software architects, and ensuring technical balance and adherence to specifications.

Currently, Spanjers works at EVS Broadcast Equipment as an FPGA & System Architect and Engineering Manager. Jasper continues their previous role from Axon, being responsible for the technical architecture, product ownership, and managing the engineering team.

Jasper Spanjers began their education in 1993 at Spectrum College Breda, where they studied Electronics. Jasper completed their studies in 1997, but did not obtain a degree. Following this, they attended Avans University of Applied Sciences from 1997 to 2000, where they pursued Engineering in Computer Science and obtained an Ing. degree.
