Martin Kent has extensive experience in the broadcast and media industry, with a career spanning over 20 years. Their most recent role was as V.P. Project Management- N.A.L.A. at EVS Broadcast Equipment, where they led the PMO office for process and policy and drove customer engagement for successful implementation and customer satisfaction. Before that, they served as the Head of Project Management - N.A.L.A. at the same company.
Prior to EVS Broadcast Equipment, Martin held the position of Director of Global Broadcast Engineering at Peloton Interactive, where they led the broadcast engineering teams in New York and London and helped strategically develop and implement production technologies.
From 2017 to 2021, Martin worked at Turner (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc) as the Manager of Broadcast/IT Engineering. In this role, they managed broadcast IT and field engineering and was part of the project team responsible for designing and building out the new Turner 2110 based IP facility at Hudson Yards. Martin also led a global engineering training initiative for all 2110 broadcast systems.
Before their time at Turner, Martin worked at Imagine Communications as the Manager of Field Engineering/Project Management. Martin managed Harris' US/Canadian based field engineering team, providing customer site commissioning, repair, and "Go Live" support services. Martin also served as the customer-facing service manager for Imagine Communications in the NY metro marketplace.
Prior to that, Martin worked at Music Choice as the Senior Manager of Broadcast Engineering, overseeing the development and management of a real-time interactive HD music video channel. Martin also managed the operations and engineering teams for production and voiceover.
Martin's career also includes roles at Ascent Media as a Senior Project Manager, where they led a $30 million build-out for FOX Business Channel and worked on HD network upgrades for Lifetime Television and Discovery Television. Martin also served as the Director of Engineering and Production Operations at A&E Television Networks, where they managed engineering teams, handled vendor relations and procurement, and led strategic planning for capital upgrade projects in production and post facilities.
At the start of their career, Martin worked at The Island ECN as the Director of Studio Operations and Engineering, where they designed, built, and managed a storefront studio adjacent to the NYSE and created production schedules and recruited studio operational staff.
Throughout their career, Martin has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Martin Kent has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology from The New York Institute of Technology. Martin attended this institution for an unspecified period of time. In 2016 to 2017, Martin studied Network and System Administration/Administrator at Bergen Community College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Learning Cloud Computing: Core Concepts, Scrum: The Basics, Wireshark Essential Training, and Learning ITIL® from LinkedIn, obtained in February 2022 and September 2020 respectively.
