Michael Bastings

Michael Bastings has a diverse work experience in software engineering and research. Michael started their career at EVS Broadcast Equipment in 2011 as an R&D Software Engineer, working on a new Software Storage Platform that aimed to interface with any camera feed. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior R&D Software Engineer, where they continued their work on software development. In 2020, they took on the role of Principal Software Engineer, where they led a project integrating a new AI technology into the company's Super Slow Motion cameras. In addition to their experience at EVS, Michael also worked as a Research Engineer at the University of Liège from 2009 to 2011. There, they worked on a computer-vision project focused on designing an innovative human-machine interface using facial movement control.
