Jerry Gould

Jerry Gould is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology leadership, specifically in resistance and solid-state welding. Since August 1985, Jerry has served as a Senior Technology Leader at EWI, where technical oversight for resistance and solid-state approaches is a primary responsibility. Previously, as a Technology Fellow at EWI, Jerry developed capabilities for statistical design of experiments conducted in manufacturing facilities. Jerry's early career included a position as Pillar Leader for Joining and Assembly at LIFT from 2014 to 2015, and research as a Research Engineer at Inland Steel Company, focusing on resistance spot welding of galvanized and advanced high strength steels. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and an Associate of Science in Pre-Engineering from Mount San Antonio College.
