Patricia McCoy

Patricia McCoy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Patricia started their career in 2004 as an Aquarium husbandry at the Aquarium of the Pacific. In 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant at CIBNOR until 2010. Patricia then transitioned to academia and served as a Biostatistics Professor at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica from 2011 to 2015.

In 2016, Patricia started working at Revvity Signals as a Project Manager and simultaneously held the position of Service Engineer/Project Management at EX2 Outcoding. Patricia continued this role at EX Squared Solutions from 2016 onwards.

In 2018, Patricia joined PerkinElmer, Inc. as a Project Manager and is currently working there, with their expected end date being in May 2023.

Patricia McCoy holds a Master's degree in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology, which they obtained from the Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas del Noroeste between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica from 1999 to 2003. Patricia has also obtained additional certifications, including TCA-TIBCO Spotfire® from TIBCO in April 2022, Foundations of Project Management from Coursera in August 2021, Budgeting and Scheduling Projects from Coursera in July 2018, Managing Project Risks and Changes from Coursera in July 2018, and Initiating and Planning Projects from Coursera in June 2018.
