Shyam Kumar

Shyam Kumar possesses extensive experience in product management and development, with a current role at Exa as a product professional since July 2025. Previously, Shyam co-founded and served as the Head of Product at Kapstan, focusing on a developer platform for AI and cloud-native workloads. Shyam's experience also includes a Builder role at super{set}, where strategic planning and customer acquisition were key responsibilities. Prior consulting work at Boston Consulting Group involved software due diligence and growth strategies, while earlier positions included co-founding Proteolux, a cloud-hosted application for molecular scientists, and software engineering roles at Apple. Shyam holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
