Luca Scalisi

Clinical Engineer at Exact Imaging

Luca Scalisi has been working in various roles since 2015. Luca began their career as a Summer Intern at the Ontario Tennis Association in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Technical Professional Summer Student Asset Management at the City of Markham, where they created and implemented an inventory plan for Fire Safety Systems and a maintenance schedule plan for all buildings operated by the City of Markham. In 2017 and 2018, they worked as a Business Analyst, Payments and Trade Operations at RBC. During this time, they helped develop a new business strategy for the RBC Express Technical Support Help Desk to reduce incoming calls, built an analytical model to determine benchmark timings to be implemented in a credit grid to determine short term incentive payouts for employees investigating payments, and provided analysis on factors effecting the productivity of the RBC Express Technical Support Help Desk. In 2020, they worked as a Student Intern at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, where they developed an LMS adaptive filter for the purpose of removing heart pulse EKG artifacts from respiratory muscle EMG signals. Finally, they are currently working as a Clinical Engineer and Clinical Engineering Intern at Exact Imaging.

Luca Scalisi completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University from 2014 to 2018. Luca then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering - MEng in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2020.
