Andrew Lewis

Principal Engineer | Advanced Surgical Technologies at Exactech

Andrew Lewis has a diverse work history in engineering and product development. Andrew started their career as a Biomedical Engineer at Jarvik Heart in 2004. Andrew then moved on to Sparton Corporation where they worked as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer from 2005 to 2008.

In 2008, Andrew joined Exactech and held various roles over the years. Andrew started as a Product Development Engineer and worked their way up to Sr. Product Development Engineer. In these roles, they managed the development of Total Hip Arthroplasty implant and instrument systems, mentored engineers, and maintained design history files.

From 2017 to 2020, Andrew served as the Manager of Engineering and Development & Integrated Business Planning at Exactech. In this role, they managed a team working on new product development and coordinated the portfolio management review. Andrew also collaborated with other departments to execute Sales and Operations Planning cycles.

Most recently, Andrew has been working at Exactech as a Principal Engineer, specifically in the field of Advanced Surgical Technologies. Andrew acts as the project manager and technical lead for the development of surgical navigation systems and mentors other engineers.

Andrew Lewis earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University in 2002. Andrew then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Rutgers University from 2002 to 2004.
