Nikolay Primerov

Nikolay Primerov is an accomplished Optics and Laser Engineer at Exalos AG since December 2017, specializing in the development of high-speed swept sources and tunable lasers. Additionally, Nikolay serves as a Black Diamond Ambassador, representing the company at ice climbing competitions and outdoor projects since January 2014. Prior experience includes roles as an R&D and Application Engineer at Omnisens SA, where significant achievements involved establishing qualification setups and successfully implementing pilot experiments in distributed sensor technologies, along with extensive customer support. Nikolay holds a Ph.D. in Photonics from EPFL and another Ph.D. in Materials for Optoelectronics from the General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, complemented by a Master's degree in Chemical Technology of Monocrystals from Ural State Technical University. Previous positions include process development at Silver Fiber Optics and industrial rope access work at PromAlpUralComplex.
