Steven Sigler

Steven Sigler has a diverse work experience in the IT and insurance industries. Steven started their career as a Freelance Computer Programmer and Systems Engineer, working with various businesses and organizations to install computer systems and develop software. Steven then co-founded and co-owned Aztec Systems, where they managed all internal operations and provided computer and network systems consulting. In 1998, they sold the majority of their stock in Aztec Systems to pursue a career as an IT Manager at Petrosure Casualty Company. There, they restored morale and integrity in the MIS department and successfully implemented a company-wide desktop operating system conversion. After four years, they joined Ag Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Co. as an AVP & IT Manager, where they were responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions, reducing operating expenses, and improving system efficiency. Steven went on to work as an Examiner for multiple insurance companies, including Statutory Examination Resources, Regulatory Examination Consultants, and Highland Clark, where they performed regulatory examinations for state insurance departments. Most recently, they served as the Director of IT Examination Services at Examination Resources, LLC, overseeing IT examinations for U.S. insurance companies.

Steven Sigler completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 1977 to 1982. Following their undergraduate education, Steven obtained the position of Systems Engineer at Novell, Inc., specializing in Computer Networking & Integration. In addition to their formal education, Steven has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include "Leadership Skills for The Future" and "Managing Skills for Remote Leaders" from LinkedIn, received in March 2021, as well as "Advance Market Conduct Management (AMCM)" from the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society, achieved in August 2016. Furthermore, they obtained the "Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)" certification from ISACA in February 2013, and the "Certified Financial Examiner (CFE)" and "Automation Examination Specialist (AES)" certifications from the Society of Financial Examiners in October 2008 and August 2008, respectively.
