Art Gillespie is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in managing technical teams and developing innovative products in the software and hardware sectors. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Odyssey since November 2023, Gillespie has previously held senior management positions at Cruise, leading engineering efforts for autonomous vehicle platforms and remote assistance. At Voyage, Gillespie spearheaded the development of the "Telessist" teleoperations solution, demonstrating expertise in low-latency video streaming technology. Previous roles include CEO at trainify.io, Director of Engineering at Udacity, and engineering positions at Google and Nest Labs, where Gillespie oversaw significant product developments and team expansions.
