Derek W. is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas consultancy sector, currently serving as Financial Controller at Exceed (XCD Limited) since November 2007. In this role, Derek manages financial services, including budgeting, tax return preparation, accounts payable, and receivable, as well as providing timely financial reports. Additionally, Derek is involved in negotiations with suppliers and cost-effective purchasing. Derek has also worked as a Practice Manager, overseeing facilities management, bookkeeping, and IT support. Since February 2011, Derek has pursued a passion for photography, focusing on architectural and landscape imagery. Previously, Derek held the position of Operations Manager at Next Retail Ltd, where responsibilities included controlling operational costs and managing teams. Derek contributed as a Trustee for Exceed Trust from August 2008 to December 2012, promoting educational opportunities for disadvantaged children. Educational background includes studies at Robert Gordon University and The Gordon Schools, Huntly.
