Excelcare
Wendy Cowell has a diverse work experience in the health and social care sector. Wendy currently holds the position of Director of Care Quality & Governance at Excelcare since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Operations Manager at Canford Healthcare from 2013 to 2023. Wendy also has experience as the proprietor and director of QCH Consulting, a consultancy firm they founded in 2012 to support independent care home providers. Wendy held this role until 2019. Earlier in their career, Wendy served as the General Manager & Locality Manager at West Kent Community Health from 2004 to 2011, where they provided leadership and management support to community hospital beds and oversaw the adult protection services. Throughout their career, Wendy has been involved in strategic and operational projects, chaired disciplinary processes, and ensured compliance with regulatory bodies.
Wendy Cowell attended the University of Greenwich from 1994 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Specialist Practice (Older People).
